Supporting Childhood Cancer STAR Project with National Informatics System
SIS supports the Childhood Cancer Survivorship, Treatment, Access and Research (STAR) project, assisting with the development of a national cancer registry and enhanced informatics for pediatric, adolescent, and young adult cancers.
SIS developed, tested, and refined a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Cloud-based solution for a national informatics system that supports data standardization and accurate case finding (identification of positive cancer cases) to provide Central Cancer Registries (CCRs) and laboratories with lower cost and implementation burden. We also provided customer training, technical support and quality control for the new informatics system and developed and enhanced cancer registry tools and applications.
