SIS is assisting the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center (WR-ALC) with improving the supportability of USAF aircraft with the application of lean tools and technology, transformation, and other continuous process improvement efforts related to material and supply requirements. This work includes the organization of supply chain efforts, including the Industrial Product Support Vendor (IPV) and the Bench Stock Program, to ensure USAF aircraft are available and mission capable. SIS’s onsite staff provide software, database, and supply line support while monitoring the IPV contract. Process transformation support includes aircraft maintenance materiel data analysis, integrated solutions, enabling tools, and lean processes to support an established data system and maintenance group and ensure optimized and accurate materiel and supply tracking for optimal aircraft supportability. SIS also participates in special project to include testing of system enhancements and releases and develops standard operating procedures (SOPs) and desk guides for both newly developed and existing processes and tools.
